Oak Park Regional Housing Center

The Oak Park Regional Housing Center, a not-for-profit agency, was established in 1972 to assist the village in meeting its goal for establishing a diverse and integrated community. Its mission is to achieve meaningful and lasting racial diversity throughout Oak Park and the surrounding communities. The Housing Center has been instrumental in helping to ensure that Oak Park meets its goal for racial integration and diversity by providing free rental services to thousands of apartment seekers annually, while encouraging choices supportive of racial diversity; assisting building owners to keep buildings attractive and marketable; and ensuring strong demand for Oak Park housing by marketing to home seekers throughout the region.
